The acceptance of live animals shipment must be in accordance with the instructions in the IATA Live Animals Regulation (LAR) and PAL supplemented regulations, which are related to the kind of animal, type of aircraft, temperature at origin, enroute and destination.

Only animals, which appear to be in good health and condition and fit to travel to the final destination, shall be accepted for carriage. The shipper is required to declare when animals are pregnant or have given birth in the last 48hours. 

An advance booking or arrangement must be made at the cargo reservation office

 

Required Documents:

1. CITES Documents (CONVENTION ON INTERNATIONAL TRADE IN ENDANGERED SPECIES OF WILD FAUNA AND FLORA)

Applicable Health Declarations and Permits required by the national authorities of the countries of export, transshipment and import

Veterinary Health Certificate for pregnant mammals declaring that the animal is fit to travel and there is not risk of birth occurring during carriage, otherwise pregnant mammals shall not only be accepted for carriage.

For Philippine Domestic Traffic:

Permit/Certification issued by Veterinary Quarantine (Bureau of Animal Industry) or Fisheries Inspection and Quarantine Service (Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources), which ever is applicable, must be obtained by the shipper.

2.Shippers Certification of Live Animals

A completed and duly signed Shipper's Certification of Live Animals is recommended in the acceptance of live animals

Packing

It must be clean, leak proof and escape proof to allow safe handling during carriage.
